అహీమెలెకు కుమారుడైన అబ్యాతారు ఏఫోదు చేత పట్టుకొని పారిపోయి కెయీలాలోనున్న దావీదునొద్దకు వచ్చెను.

- 7దావీదు కెయీలాకు వచ్చిన సంగతి సౌలు విని దావీదు ద్వారములును అడ్డుగడలునుగల పట్టణములో ప్రవేశించి అందులో మూయబడి యున్నాడు, దేవుడతనిని నా చేతికి అప్పగించెనను కొనెను.
- 8కాబట్టి సౌలు కెయీలాకు పోయి దావీదును అతని జనులను ముట్టడింప వలెనని జనులందరిని యుద్ధమునకు పిలువనంపించెను.
