3. 8ఆ కాలమున డాళ్లను ఈటెలను పట్టుకొను మూడు లక్షలమంది యూదావారును, కేడెములు ధరించివిల్లువేయు రెండు లక్షల ఎనుబది వేలమంది బెన్యామీనీ యులును కూడిన సైన్యము ఆసాకు ఉండెను; వీరందరును పరాక్రమశాలులై యుండిరి.
4. 9కూషీయుడైన జెరహు వారిమీద దండెత్తి వేయి వేల సైన్యమును మూడువందల రథములను కూర్చుకొని బయలుదేరి మారేషావరకు రాగా ఆసా అతనికి ఎదురుబోయెను.
5. 10వారు మారేషానొద్ద జెపాతా అను పల్లపుస్థలమందు పంక్తులు తీర్చి యుద్ధము కలుపగా
