అందుకు వారు అతడు గొంగళి ధరించుకొని నడుమునకు తోలుదట్టి కట్టుకొనినవాడని ప్రత్యుత్తరమియ్యగాఆ మనుష్యుడు తిష్బీయుడైన ఏలీయా అని అతడు చెప్పెను.

- 9వెంటనే రాజు ఏబదిమందికి అధిపతియైన యొకనిని వాని యేబదిమందితో కూడ ఏలీయా యొద్దకు పంపెను. అతడు కొండమీద కూర్బుని యుండగా అధిపతి యెక్కి అతని సమీపమునకు పోయిదైవజనుడా, నీవు దిగిరావలెనని రాజు ఆజ్ఞాపించుచున్నాడనెను.
- 10అందుకు ఏలీయానేను దైవజనుడనైతే అగ్ని ఆకాశమునుండి దిగివచ్చి నిన్ను నీ యేబదిమందిని దహించునుగాక అని యేబదిమందికి అధిపతియైన వానితో చెప్పగా, అగ్ని ఆకాశమునుండి దిగి వానిని వాని యేబదిమందిని దహించెను.
