2. 17ఆ పట్టణపువారు బయలుదేరి యోవాబుతో యుద్ధమునకు రాగా దావీదు సేవకులలో కొందరు కూలిరి, హిత్తీయుడగు ఊరియాయును హతమాయెను.
3. 18కాబట్టి యోవాబు యుద్ధ సమాచార మంతయు దావీదునొద్దకు పంపి దూతతో ఇట్లనెను
4. 19యుద్ధసమాచారము నీవు రాజుతో చెప్పి చాలించిన తరువాత రాజు కోపము తెచ్చుకొనియుద్ధము చేయునప్పుడు మీరెందుకు పట్టణము దగ్గరకు పోతిరి?
5. 20గోడమీదనుండి వారు అంబులు వేయుదురని మీకు తెలి యక పోయెనా?
