3. 5అప్పుడు రాజు యోవాబును అబీషైని ఇత్తయిని పిలిచినా నిమిత్తమై ¸యౌవనుడైన అబ్షాలోమునకు దయ జూపుడని ఆజ్ఞాపించెను. జనులందరు వినుచుండగా రాజు అబ్షాలోమునుగూర్చి అధిపతులకందరికి ఆజ్ఞ ఇచ్చెను.
4. 6జనులు ఇశ్రాయేలువారిని ఎదిరించుటకై పొలములోనికి బయలుదేరిన మీదట యుద్ధము ఎఫ్రాయిము వనములో జరుగగా
5. 7ఇశ్రాయేలువారు దావీదు సేవకుల యెదుట నిలువలేక ఓడిపోయిరి; ఆ దినమున ఇరువది వేల మంది అక్కడ హతులైరి.
