And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof [shall be] with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.

2. 25యెరూషలేమును మరల కట్టించవచ్చునని ఆజ్ఞ బయలుదేరిన సమయము మొదలుకొని అభిషిక్తుడగు అధిపతి వచ్చువరకు ఏడు వారములు పట్టునని స్పష్టముగా గ్రహించుము. అరువది రెండు వారములు తొందరగల సమయములందు పట్టణపు రాచవీధులును కందకములును మరల కట్టబడును.
3. 26ఈ అరువది రెండు వారములు జరిగిన పిమ్మట ఏమియు లేకుండ అభిషిక్తుడు నిర్మూలము చేయబడును. వచ్చునట్టి రాజు యొక్క ప్రజలు పవిత్ర పట్టణమును పరిశుద్ధ ఆలయమును నశింపజేయుదురు, వాని అంతము హఠాత్తుగా వచ్చును. మరియు యుద్ధకాలాంతమువరకు నాశనము జరుగునని నిర్ణయింపబడెను.
