యెరూషలేమును మరల కట్టించవచ్చునని ఆజ్ఞ బయలుదేరిన సమయము మొదలుకొని అభిషిక్తుడగు అధిపతి వచ్చువరకు ఏడు వారములు పట్టునని స్పష్టముగా గ్రహించుము. అరువది రెండు వారములు తొందరగల సమయములందు పట్టణపు రాచవీధులును కందకములును మరల కట్టబడును.

- 26ఈ అరువది రెండు వారములు జరిగిన పిమ్మట ఏమియు లేకుండ అభిషిక్తుడు నిర్మూలము చేయబడును. వచ్చునట్టి రాజు యొక్క ప్రజలు పవిత్ర పట్టణమును పరిశుద్ధ ఆలయమును నశింపజేయుదురు, వాని అంతము హఠాత్తుగా వచ్చును. మరియు యుద్ధకాలాంతమువరకు నాశనము జరుగునని నిర్ణయింపబడెను.
- 27అతడు ఒక వారమువరకు అనేకులకు నిబంధనను స్థిరపరచును; అర్ధవారమునకు బలిని నైవేద్యమును నిలిపివేయును హేయమైనది నిలుచువరకు నాశనము చేయువాడు వచ్చును నాశనము చేయువానికి రావలెనని నిర్ణయించిన నాశనము ముగించువరకు ఈలాగున జరుగును.
