అతని సన్నిధిని ఉండి రాజు ముఖమును చూచుచు, రాజ్యమందు ప్రథమపీఠముల మీద కూర్చుండు పారసీకులయొక్కయు మాదీయుల యొక్కయు ఏడుగురు ప్రధానులు ఎవరనగాకర్షెనా షెతారు అద్మాతా తర్షీషు మెరెను మర్సెనా మెమూకాను అనువారు.

- 16మెమూకాను రాజు ఎదుటను ప్రధానుల యెదుటను ఈలాగు ప్రత్యుత్తరమిచ్చెను రాణియైన వష్తి రాజు ఎడల మాత్రము కాదు, రాజైన అహష్వేరోషు యొక్క సకల సంస్థానములలోనుండు అధిపతులందరి యెడలను జనులందరియెడలను నేరస్థురాలాయెను.
- 17ఏల యనగా రాజైన అహష్వేరోషు తన రాణియైన వష్తిని తన సన్నిధికి పిలుచుకొని రావలెనని ఆజ్ఞాపింపగా ఆమె రాలేదను సంగతి బయలుపడగానే స్త్రీలందరు దానివిని, ముఖము ఎదుటనే తమ పురుషులను తిరస్కారము చేయుదురు.
