రాజు సంస్థానములయందుండు తక్కిన యూదులు కూడుకొని, తమ ప్రాణములను రక్షించుకొనుటకై పూనుకొని అదారు మాసము పదమూడవ దిన మందు తమ విరోధులలో డెబ్బది యయిదువేల మందిని చంపివేసి, తమ పగవారివలన బాధలేకుండ నెమ్మదిపొందిరి; అయితేవారును కొల్లసొమ్ముపట్టుకొనలేదు.

Raaju sansthaanamulayandundu takkina yoodulu koodukoni, tama praanamulanu rakshinchukonutakai poonukoni adaaru maasamu padamoodava dina mandu tama virodhulalo debbadi yayiduvela mandini champivesi, tama pagavaarivalana baadhalekunda nemmadipondiri; ayitevaarunu kollasommupattukonaledu.

King James Version (KJV): But the other Jews that [were] in the king’s provinces gathered themselves together, and stood for their lives, and had rest from their enemies, and slew of their foes seventy and five thousand, but they laid not their hands on the prey,
