21ఆయన ఇదిగో నీవు చెప్పిన ఈ ఊరు నాశనము చేయను. ఈ విషయములో నీ మనవి అంగీకరించితిని;
22నీవు త్వరపడి అక్కడికి తప్పించుకొని పొమ్ము; నీ వక్కడ చేరువరకు నేనేమియు చేయలేననెను. అందుచేత ఆ ఊరికి సోయరు అను పేరు పెట్టబడెను.
23లోతు సోయరుకు వచ్చినప్పుడు ఆ దేశమున సూర్యుడు ఉదయించెను.
24అప్పుడు యెహోవా సొదొమ మీదను గొమొఱ్ఱా మీదను యెహోవా యొద్ద నుండి గంధకమును అగ్నిని ఆకాశమునుండి కురిపించి
25ఆ పట్టణములను ఆ మైదానమంతటిని ఆ పట్టణములలో నివసించిన వారినందరిని నేల మొలకలను నాశనము చేసెను.
