నీవు త్వరపడి అక్కడికి తప్పించుకొని పొమ్ము; నీ వక్కడ చేరువరకు నేనేమియు చేయలేననెను. అందుచేత ఆ ఊరికి సోయరు అను పేరు పెట్టబడెను.

King James Version (KJV): Haste thee, escape thither; for I cannot do any thing till thou be come thither. Therefore the name of the city was called Zoar.

20ఇదిగో పారిపోవుటకు ఈ ఊరు సమీపములో ఉన్నది, అది చిన్నది, నన్నక్కడికి తప్పించుకొని పోనిమ్ము అది చిన్నది గదా, నేను బ్రదుకుదునని చెప్పినప్పుడు
21ఆయన ఇదిగో నీవు చెప్పిన ఈ ఊరు నాశనము చేయను. ఈ విషయములో నీ మనవి అంగీకరించితిని;

24అప్పుడు యెహోవా సొదొమ మీదను గొమొఱ్ఱా మీదను యెహోవా యొద్ద నుండి గంధకమును అగ్నిని ఆకాశమునుండి కురిపించి
