1. 8కావున మా పితరుడైన రేకాబు కుమారుడగు యెహోనాదాబు మాకాజ్ఞాపించిన సమస్త విషయములలో అతని మాటనుబట్టి మేముగాని మా భార్యలుగాని మా కుమారులుగాని మా కుమార్తెలుగాని ద్రాక్షారసము త్రాగుటలేదు.
2. 9మా తండ్రియైన యెహోనాదాబు మాకాజ్ఞాపించిన సమస్తమునుబట్టి మేము విధేయులమగు నట్లుగా కాపురమునకు ఇండ్లు కట్టుకొనుటలేదు, ద్రాక్షా వనములుగాని పొలములుగాని సంపాదించుటలేదు, విత్తనమైనను చల్లుటలేదు
3. 10గుడారములలోనే నివసించు చున్నాము.
4. 11అయితే బబులోనురాజైన నెబుకద్రెజరు ఈ దేశములో ప్రవేశింపగా కల్దీయుల దండునకును సిరియనుల దండునకును భయపడి, మనము యెరూషలేమునకు పోదము రండని మేము చెప్పుకొంటిమి గనుక మేము యెరూషలేములో కాపురమున్నామని చెప్పిరి.
5. 12అంతట యెహోవా వాక్కు యిర్మీయాకు ప్రత్యక్షమై యిలాగు సెలవిచ్చెనుఇశ్రాయేలు దేవుడగు యెహోవా సెలవిచ్చునదేమనగా
