అతని కుమారులందరు వంతుల చొప్పున అనుదినము ఒకరికొకరు తమ తమ యిండ్లలో విందు చేయనై కూడునప్పుడు తమ ముగ్గురు అక్కచెల్లెండ్రు తమతో కలిసి అన్నపానములు పుచ్చుకొనవలెనని వారిని పిలిపించుచు వచ్చిరి.

5వారి వారి విందు దినములు పూర్తికాగా యోబు, తన కుమారులు పాపముచేసి తమ హృదయములలో దేవుని దూషించిరేమో అని వారిని పిలువనంపించి వారిని పవిత్రపరచి, అరుణోదయమున లేచి వారిలో ఒక్కొకని నిమిత్తమై దహనబలి నర్పించుచు వచ్చెను. యోబు నిత్యము ఆలాగున చేయుచుండెను.
6దేవదూతలు యెహోవా సన్నిధిని నిలుచుటకై వచ్చిన దినమొకటి తటస్థించెను. ఆ దినమున అపవాదియగు వాడు వారితో కలిసి వచ్చెను.
