గనుక పిలాతునాతో మాటలాడవా? నిన్ను విడుదల చేయుటకు నాకు అధికారము కలదనియు, నిన్ను సిలువవేయుటకు నాకు అధికారము కలదనియు నీ వెరుగవా? అని ఆయనతో అనెను.
Ganuka pilaatunaato maatalaadavaa? Ninnu vidudala cheyutaku naaku adhikaaramu kaladaniyu, ninnu siluvaveyutaku naaku adhikaaramu kaladaniyu nee verugavaa? Ani aayanato anenu.

- 12ఈ మాటనుబట్టి పిలాతు ఆయనను విడుదల చేయుటకు యత్నముచేసెను గాని యూదులునీవు ఇతని విడుదల చేసితివా కైసరునకు స్నేహితుడవు కావు; తాను రాజునని చెప్పుకొను ప్రతివాడును కైసరునకు విరోధముగా మాటలాడుచున్నవాడే అని కేకలువేసిరి.
