- 22తక్కిన వారును పట్టణములోనుండి బయలుదేరి వారికి ఎదురుగా వచ్చిరి. అట్లు ఈ తట్టు కొందరు ఆ తట్టు కొందరు ఉండగా హాయివారు ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల నడుమ చిక్కుబడిరి గనుక ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు వారిని హతముచేసిరి. వారిలో ఒకడును మిగులలేదు; ఒకడును తప్పించుకొనలేదు.
- 23వారు హాయి రాజును ప్రాణముతో పట్టుకొని యెహోషువయొద్దకు తీసికొనివచ్చిరి.
- 24బీటిలోను పొలములోను హాయి నివాసులను తరిమిన ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు వారిని చంపుట చాలింపగా, కత్తివాత కూలక మిగిలినవాడొకడును లేకపోయినప్పుడు ఇశ్రా యేలీయులందరు హాయియొద్దకు తిరిగివచ్చి దానిని కత్తి వాతను నిర్మూలము చేసిరి.
- 25ఆ దినమున పడిన స్త్రీ పురుషు లందరు పండ్రెండు వేలమంది.
