5వారు బెజెకులో అదోనీ బెజెకును చూచి వానితో యుద్ధముచేసి కనానీయులను పెరిజ్జీయులను హతముచేసిరి.
6అదోనీ బెజెకు పారిపోగా వారు అతని తరిమి పట్టుకొని అతని కాలుచేతుల బొట్టన వ్రేళ్లను కోసివేసిరి.
7అప్పుడు అదోనీ బెజెకుతమ కాళ్లు చేతుల బొట్టనవ్రేళ్లు కోయబడిన డెబ్బదిమంది రాజులు నా భోజనపు బల్లక్రింద ముక్కలు ఏరుకొనుచుండిరి. నేను చేసినట్లే దేవుడు నాకు ప్రతిఫలమిచ్చెననెను. వారు యెరూషలేమునకు అతని తోడుకొనిరాగా అతడు అక్కడ చనిపోయెను.
8యూదావంశస్థులు యెరూషలేముమీదికి యుద్ధము చేసి దానిని పట్టుకొని కొల్లబెట్టి ఆ పట్టణమును కాల్చి వేసిరి.
