5. 49అప్పుడు ఆ జనులందరిలో ప్రతివాడును ఒక్కొక కొమ్మను నరికి అబీమెలెకును వెంబడించి ఆ కోట దగ్గర వాటిని పెట్టి వాటివలన ఆ కోటను అగ్నిచేత కాల్చిరి. అప్పుడు షెకెము గోపుర యజమానులు, అనగా స్త్రీ పురుషులు ఇంచుమించు వెయ్యిమంది చచ్చిరి.
