35ప్రజలు నిలువబడి చూచు చుండిరి; అధికారులునువీడు ఇతరులను రక్షించెను; వీడు దేవుడేర్పరచుకొనిన క్రీస్తు అయిన యెడల తన్నుతాను రక్షించుకొనునని అపహసించిరి.
36అంతట సైనికులు ఆయనయొద్దకు వచ్చి ఆయనకు చిరకనిచ్చి
37నీవు యూదుల రాజువైతే నిన్ను నీవే రక్షించుకొనుమని ఆయనను అపహసించిరి.
38ఇతడు యూదుల రాజని పైవిలాసముకూడ ఆయనకు పైగా వ్రాయబడెను.
39వ్రేలాడవేయబడిన ఆ నేరస్థులలో ఒకడు ఆయనను దూషించుచు నీవు క్రీస్తువు గదా? నిన్ను నీవు రక్షించు కొనుము, మమ్మునుకూడ రక్షించుమని చెప్పెను.
