24బోధకుడా, ఒకడు పిల్లలు లేక చనిపోయినయెడల అతని సహోదరుడు అతని భార్యను పెండ్లిచేసికొని తన సహోదరునికి సంతానము కలుగజేయ వలెనని మోషే చెప్పెను;
25మాలో ఏడుగురు సహోదరులుండిరి; మొదటివాడు పెండ్లిచేసికొని చనిపోయెను; అతనికి సంతానము లేనందున అతని సహోదరుడు అతని భార్యను తీసికొనెను.
26రెండవ వాడును మూడవ వాడును ఏడవ వానివరకు అందరును ఆలాగే జరిగించి చనిపోయిరి.
27అందరి వెనుక ఆ స్త్రీయు చనిపోయెను.
28పునరుత్థాన మందు ఈ యేడుగురిలో ఆమె ఎవనికి భార్యగా ఉండును? ఆమె వీరందరికిని భార్యగా ఉండెను గదా అని ఆయనను అడిగిరి.
