1. 37బాలాకు బిలాముతో నిన్ను పిలుచుటకు నేను నీయొద్దకు దూతలను పంపియుంటిని గదా. నాయొద్దకు నీవేల రాకపోతివి? నిన్ను ఘనపరచ సమర్థుడను కానా? అనెను.
2. 38అందుకు బిలాముఇదిగో నీయొద్దకు వచ్చితిని; అయిన నేమి? ఏదైనను చెప్పుటకు నాకు శక్తి కలదా? దేవుడు నా నోట పలికించు మాటయే పలికెదనని బాలాకుతో చెప్పెను.
3. 39అప్పుడు బిలాము బాలాకుతో కూడ వెళ్లెను. వారు కిర్యత్‌ హుచ్చోతుకు వచ్చినప్పుడు
4. 40బాలాకు ఎడ్లను గొఱ్ఱెలను బలిగా అర్పించి, కొంతభాగము బిలాముకును అతని యొద్దనున్న అధికారుల కును పంపెను.
5. 41మరునాడు బాలాకు బిలామును తోడు కొనిపోయి, బయలుయొక్క ఉన్నత స్థలములమీదనుండి జనులను చివరవరకు చూడవలెనని అతనిని అచ్చోట ఎక్కించెను.
