2. 12పొరబాటున ఒకని చంపినవాడు వాటిలోనికి పారిపోవచ్చును. తీర్పు పొందుటకై నరహంతకుడు సమాజమునెదుట నిలుచువరకు వాడు మరణశిక్ష నొందకూడదు గనుక ప్రతిహత్య చేయువాడు రాకుండ అవి మీకు ఆశ్రయపురములుగా ఉండును.
3. 13మీరు ఇయ్య వలసిన ఆ పురములలో ఆరు ఆశ్రయ పురములుండవలెను.
4. 14వాటిలో యొర్దాను ఇవతల మూడు పురములను ఇయ్య వలెను, కనాను దేశములో మూడు పురములను ఇయ్య వలెను. అవి మీకు ఆశ్రయ పురములుగా ఉండును.
5. 15పొరబాటున ఒకని చంపిన యెవడైనను వాటిలోనికి పారి పోవునట్లు ఆ ఆరు పురములు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులకును పర దేశులకును మీ మధ్య నివసించువారికిని ఆశ్రయమై యుండును.
