1. 24కాబట్టి సమాజము ఈ విధులనుబట్టి కొట్టిన వానికిని హత్యవిషయములో ప్రతిహత్య చేయువానికిని తీర్పుతీర్చవలెను.
2. 25అట్లు సమాజము నరహత్య విషయ ములో ప్రతిహత్య చేయువాని చేతిలోనుండి ఆ నరహంత కుని విడిపింపవలెను. అప్పుడు సమాజము వాడు పారి పోయిన ఆశ్రయ పురమునకు వాని మరల పంపవలెను. వాడు పరిశుద్ధ తైలముతో అభిషేకింపబడిన ప్రధాన యాజకుడు మృతినొందువరకు అక్కడనే నివసింపవలెను.
3. 26అయితే ఆ నరహంతకుడు ఎప్పుడైనను తాను పారిపోయి చొచ్చిన ఆశ్రయపురముయొక్క సరిహద్దును దాటి వెళ్లు నప్పుడు
4. 27నరహత్యవిషయములో ప్రతిహత్య చేయువాడు ఆశ్రయపురముయొక్క సరిహద్దు వెలుపల వాని కను గొనినయెడల, ఆ ప్రతిహంతకుడు ఆ నరహంతకుని చంపినను వానిమీద ప్రాణముతీసిన దోషము ఉండదు.
5. 28ఏలయనగా ప్రధానయాజకుడు మృతినొందువరకు అతడు ఆశ్రయపురములోనే నివసింపవలెను. ప్రధానయాజకుడు మృతినొందిన తరువాత ఆ నరహంతకుడు తన స్వాస్థ్యమున్న దేశము నకు తిరిగి వెళ్లవచ్చును.
