కాబట్టి శరీరము విషయమై మన మూలపురుషుడగు అబ్రాహామునకేమి దొరికెనని అందుము.
What shall we say then that Abraham our father, as pertaining to the flesh, hath found?
అబ్రాహాము క్రియల మూలముగా నీతిమంతుడని తీర్చబడినయెడల అతనికి అతిశయకారణము కలుగును గాని అది దేవుని యెదుట కలుగదు.
For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath [whereof] to glory; but not before God.
లేఖనమేమి చెప్పుచున్నది? అబ్రాహాము దేవుని నమ్మెను, అది అతనికి నీతిగా ఎంచబడెను
For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.
పని చేయువానికి జీతము ఋణమేగాని దానమని యెంచ బడదు.
Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.
పనిచేయక, భక్తిహీనుని నీతిమంతునిగా తీర్చు వానియందు విశ్వాసముంచు వానికి వాని విశ్వాసము నీతిగా ఎంచబడుచున్నది.
But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.
ఆ ప్రకారమే క్రియలు లేకుండ దేవుడెవనిని నీతిమంతుడుగా ఎంచునో ఆ మనుష్యుడు ధన్యుడని దావీదుకూడ చెప్పుచున్నాడు.
Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works,
ఏలాగనగా తన అతిక్రమములకు పరిహారము నొందినవాడు తన పాపమునకు ప్రాయశ్చిత్తము నొందినవాడు ధన్యుడు.
[Saying], Blessed [are] they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.
ప్రభువు చేత నిర్దోషియని ఎంచబడినవాడు ధన్యుడు,
Blessed [is] the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.
ఈ ధన్యవచనము సున్నతిగలవారినిగూర్చి చెప్పబడినదా సున్నతిలేనివారినిగూర్చికూడ చెప్ప బడినదా? అబ్రాహాము యొక్క విశ్వాస మతనికి నీతి అని యెంచబడెనను చున్నాము గదా?
[Cometh] this blessedness then upon the circumcision [only], or upon the uncircumcision also? for we say that faith was reckoned to Abraham for righteousness.
మంచిది; అది ఏ స్థితి యందు ఎంచ బడెను?సున్నతి కలిగి యుండినప్పుడా సున్నతి లేనప్పుడా? సున్నతి కలిగి యుండినప్పుడు కాదు సున్నతి లేనప్పుడే.
How was it then reckoned? when he was in circumcision, or in uncircumcision? Not in circumcision, but in uncircumcision.
మరియు సున్నతి లేని వారైనను, నమ్మినవారికందరికి అతడు తండ్రి యగుటవలన వారికి నీతి ఆరోపించుటకై, అతడు సున్నతి పొందకమునుపు, తనకు కలిగిన విశ్వాసమువలననైన నీతికి ముద్రగా, సున్నతి అను గురుతు పొందెను.
And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which [he had yet] being uncircumcised: that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be not circumcised; that righteousness might be imputed unto them also:
మరియు సున్నతి గలవారికిని తండ్రియగుటకు, అనగా సున్నతిమాత్రము పొందినవారు గాక, మన తండ్రియైన అబ్రాహాము సున్నతి పొందకమునుపు అతనికి కలిగిన విశ్వాసముయొక్క అడుగు జాడలనుబట్టి నడుచుకొనిన వారికి తండ్రి అగుటకు, అతడు ఆ గురుతు పొందెను.
And the father of circumcision to them who are not of the circumcision only, but who also walk in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham, which [he had] being [yet] uncircumcised.
అతడు లోకమునకు వారసుడగునను వాగ్దానము అబ్రాహామునకైనను అతని సంతానమునకైనను ధర్మశాస్త్రమూలముగా కలుగలేదుగాని విశ్వాసమువలననైన నీతి మూలము గానే కలిగెను.
For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, [was] not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.
ధర్మశాస్త్ర సంబంధులు వారసులైన యెడల విశ్వాసము వ్యర్థమగును, వాగ్దానమును నిరర్థక మగును.
For if they which are of the law [be] heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect:
ఏలయనగా ధర్మశాస్త్రము ఉగ్రతను పుట్టించును; ధర్మశాస్త్రము లేని యెడల అతిక్రమమును లేక పోవును.
Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, [there is] no transgression.
ఈ హేతువుచేతను ఆ వాగ్దానమును యావత్సంతతికి, అనగా ధర్మశాస్త్రముగలవారికి మాత్రముకాక అబ్రాహామునకున్నట్టి విశ్వాసముగలవారికికూడ దృఢము కావలెనని, కృప ననుసరించినదై యుండునట్లు, అది విశ్వాసమూలమైనదాయెను.
Therefore [it is] of faith, that [it might be] by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,
తాను విశ్వసించిన దేవుని యెదుట, అనగా మృతులను సజీవులనుగా చేయువాడును, లేనివాటిని ఉన్నట్టుగానే పిలుచువాడునైన దేవుని యెదుట, అతడు మనకందరికి తండ్రియైయున్నాడు ఇందును గూర్చినిన్ను అనేక జనములకు తండ్రినిగా నియమించితిని అని వ్రాయబడియున్నది.
(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, [even] God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.
నీ సంతానము ఈలాగు ఉండునని చెప్పిన దానినిబట్టి తాననేక జనములకు తండ్రి యగునట్లు, నిరీక్షణకు ఆధారము లేనప్పుడు అతడు నిరీక్షణ కలిగి నమ్మెను.
Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations; according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.
మరియు అతడు విశ్వాసమునందు బలహీనుడు కాక, రమారమి నూరేండ్ల వయస్సుగలవాడై యుండి, అప్పటికి తన శరీరము మృతతుల్యమైనట్టును, శారాగర్భమును మృతతుల్యమైనట్టును ఆలోచించెను గాని,
And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara’s womb:
అవి శ్వాసమువలన దేవుని వాగ్దానమునుగూర్చి సందేహింపక
He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;
దేవుని మహిమపరచి, ఆయన వాగ్దానము చేసినదానిని నెరవేర్చుటకు సమర్థుడని రూఢిగా విశ్వసించి విశ్వాసమువలన బలమునొందెను.
And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.
అందుచేత అది అతనికి నీతిగా ఎంచబడెను.
And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.
అది అతనికి ఎంచబడెనని అతని నిమిత్తము మాత్రమే కాదుగాని
Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him;
మన ప్రభువైన యేసును మృతులలోనుండి లేపినవానియందు విశ్వాసముంచిన మనకును ఎంచబడునని మన నిమిత్తముకూడ వ్రాయ బడెను.
But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead;
ఆయన మన అపరాధముల నిమిత్తము అప్పగింప బడి, మనము నీతిమంతులముగా తీర్చబడుటకై లేపబడెను.
Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.
