उसके पति एलकाना ने उस से कहा, जो तुझे भला लगे वही कर, जब तक तू उसका दूध न छुड़ाए तब तक यहीं ठहरी रह; केवल इतना हो कि यहोवा अपना वचन पूरा करे। इसलिये वह स्त्री वहीं घर पर रह गई और अपने पुत्रा के दूध छुटने के समय तक उसको पिलाती रही।
Usake pati elakaanaa ne us se kahaa, jo tujhe bhalaa lage vahee kar, jab tak too usakaa doodh na chhudaae tab tak yaheem thaharee rah; keval itanaa ho ki yahovaa apanaa vachan pooraa kare. Isaliye vah stree vaheem ghar par rah gaee aur apane putraa ke doodh chhutane ke samay tak usako pilaatee rahee.
