3. 23और यहूदियों ने जैसा आरम्भ किया था, और जैसा मोर्दकै ने उन्हें लिखा, वैसा ही करने का निश्चय कर लिया।
4. 24क्योंकि हम्मदाता अगागी का पुत्रा हामान जो सब यहूदियों का विरोधी था, उस ने यहूदियों के नाश करने की युक्ति की, और उन्हें मिटा डालने और नाश करने के लिये पूर अर्थात् चिट्ठी डाली थी।
5. 25परन्तु जब राजा ने यह जान लिया, तब उस ने आज्ञा दी और लिखवाई कि जो दुष्ट युक्ति हामान ने यहूदियों के विरूद्ध की थी वह उसी के सिर पर पलट आए, तब वह और उसके पुत्रा फांसी के क्षम्भों पर लटकाए गए।
