मैं पहाड़ों के लिये रो उठूंगा और शोक का गीत गाऊंगा, और जंगल की चराइयों के लिये विलाप का गीत गाऊंगा, क्योंकि वे ऐसे जल गए हैं कि कोई उन में से होकर नहीं चलता, और उन में ढोर का शब्द भी नहीं सुनाई पड़ता; पशु- पक्षी सब भाग गए हैं।

Maim pahaadom ke liye ro uthoongaa aur shok kaa geet gaaoongaa, aur jangal kee charaaiyom ke liye vilaap kaa geet gaaoongaa, kyonki ve aise jal gae haim ki koee un mem se hokar naheem chalataa, aur un mem dhor kaa shabd bhee naheem sunaaee padataa; pashu- pakshee sab bhaag gae hain.

King James Version (KJV): For the mountains will I take up a weeping and wailing, and for the habitations of the wilderness a lamentation, because they are burned up, so that none can pass through [them;] neither can [men] hear the voice of the cattle; both the fowl of the heavens and the beast are fled; they are gone.
World English Bible (WEB): I will weep and wail for the mountains, and lament for the pastures of the wilderness, because they are burned up, so that no one passes through; Men can’t hear the voice of the livestock. Both the birds of the sky and the animals have fled. They are gone.

12जो बुध्दिमान मुरूष हो वह इसका भेद समझ ले, और जिस ने यहोवा के मुख से इसका कारण सुना हो वह बता दे। देश का नाश क्यों हुआ? क्यों वह जंगल की नाई ऐसा जल गया कि उस में से होकर कोई नहीं चलता?
