तुम ने सुना, कि मैं ने तुम से कहा, कि मैं जाता हूं, और तुम्हारे पास फिर आता हूं: यदि तुम मुझ से प्रेम रखते, तो इस बात से आनन्दित होते, कि मैं पिता के पास जाता हूं क्योंकि पिता मुझ से बड़ा है।

Tum ne sunaa, ki maim ne tum se kahaa, ki maim jaataa hoom, aur tumhaare paas phir aataa hoom: yadi tum mujh se prem rakhate, to is baat se aanandit hote, ki maim pitaa ke paas jaataa hoom kyonki pitaa mujh se badaa hai.

King James Version (KJV): Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come [again] unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.
