4. 12वे अपनी अपनी माता से रोकर कहते हैं, अन्न और दाखमधु कहां हैं? वे नगर के चौकों में घायल किए हुए मनुष्य की नाई मूर्च्छित होकर अपने प्राण अपनी अपनी माता की गोद में छोड़ते हैं।
5. 13हे यरूशलेम की पुत्री, मैं तुझ से क्या कहूं? मैं तेरी उपमा किस से दूं? हे सिरयोन की कुमारी कन्या, मैं कौन सी वस्तु तेरे समान ठहराकर तुझे शान्ति दूं? क्योंकि तेरा दु:ख समुद्र सा अपार है; तुझे कौन चंगा कर सकता है?
