ತರುವಾಯ ಹೆಚ್ರೋನನು ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ಮಾಕೀರನ ಮಗಳ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋದನು; ಅವನು ಅರವತ್ತು ವರುಷದವನಾಗಿರು ವಾಗ ಅವಳನ್ನು ಮದುವೆಯಾದನು. ಅವಳು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಸೆಗೂಬನನ್ನು ಹೆತ್ತಳು.
Taruvaaya hechronanu gilyaadana tandeyaada maakeerana magala balige hodanu; avanu aravattu varushadavanaagiru vaaga avalannu maduveyaadanu. Avalu avanige segoobanannu hettalu.

- 23ಇವನಿಗೆ ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದಿನ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತ ಮೂರು ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳು ಉಂಟಾಗಿದ್ದವು. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವನು ಗೆಷೂರ್ಯನ್ನೂ ಅರಾಮ್ಯನ್ನೂ ಯಾಯಾರನ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕೆನತನ್ನೂ ಅದರ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳನ್ನೂಅಂದರೆ ಅರುವತ್ತು ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡನು. ಇವುಗಳೆಲ್ಲಾ ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ಮಾಕೀರನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಇದ್ದವು.
