ಆಗ ನಾವು ಸಮಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರ ಸಂಗಡ ಯುದ್ಧ ಮಾಡೋಣ; ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ನಾವು ಅವರಿಗಿಂತ ಬಲ ಶಾಲಿಗಳಾಗುವೆವು ಅಂದರು. ಅವನು ಅವರ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಮಾಡಿದನು.

Aaga naavu samabhoomiyalli avara sangada yuddha maadona; nishchayavaagi naavu avariginta bala shaaligalaaguvevu andaru. Avanu avara maatannu keli haageye maadidanu.

King James Version (KJV): And number thee an army, like the army that thou hast lost, horse for horse, and chariot for chariot: and we will fight against them in the plain, [and] surely we shall be stronger than they. And he hearkened unto their voice, and did so.

24ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ನೀನು ಮಾಡ ಬೇಕಾದದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ -- ಅರಸುಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳನ್ನು ನೇಮಿಸಿ ನೀನು ಕಳಕೊಂಡ ಸೈನ್ಯದ ಹಾಗೆ ಕುದುರೆಗೆ ಕುದುರೆಯೂ ರಥಕ್ಕೆ ರಥವೂ ಬೇರೆ ಸೈನ್ಯವನ್ನು ಲೆಕ್ಕಿಸು;
25ಆಗ ನಾವು ಸಮಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರ ಸಂಗಡ ಯುದ್ಧ ಮಾಡೋಣ; ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ನಾವು ಅವರಿಗಿಂತ ಬಲ ಶಾಲಿಗಳಾಗುವೆವು ಅಂದರು. ಅವನು ಅವರ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಮಾಡಿದನು.
26ವರುಷಾಂತರದಲ್ಲಿ ಏನಾಯಿತಂದರೆ ಬೆನ್ಹದದನು ಅರಾಮ್ಯರನ್ನು ಲೆಕ್ಕಿಸಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಸಂಗಡ ಯುದ್ಧ ಮಾಡಲು ಅಫೇಕಿಗೆ ಹೋದನು.
27ಆದದರಿಂದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಲೆಕ್ಕ ಮಾಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟು ಬೇಕಾದದ್ದನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಎದುರಾಗಿ ಹೊರಟರು. ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಅವರಿಗೆದುರಾಗಿ ದಂಡಿಳಿದಿರುವಾಗ ಅವರು ಮೇಕೆ ಮರಿಗಳ ಎರಡು ಮಂದೆಗಳ ಹಾಗಿದ್ದರು; ಆದರೆ ಅರಾಮ್ಯರು ದೇಶವನ್ನು ತುಂಬಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರು.
