1. 35ಆದರೆ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳ ಮಕ್ಕಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನು ಕರ್ತನ ಮಾತಿನಿಂದ ತನ್ನ ಜೊತೆಗಾರನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ದಯ ಮಾಡಿ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆ ಅಂದನು.
2. 36ಆದರೆ ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆಯಲ್ಲೊಲ್ಲದೆ ಇದ್ದನು. ಆಗ ಅವನು ಇವನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ಕರ್ತನ ಮಾತಿಗೆ ಅವಿಧೇಯನಾದದರಿಂದ ಇಗೋ, ನೀನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹೋಗುವಾಗ ಸಿಂಹವು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲು ವದು ಅಂದನು. ಅವನು ಇವನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹೋದಾ ಗಲೆ ಸಿಂಹವು ಅವನನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕಿತು.
3. 37ಅವನು ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬನನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಕೊಂಡು--ದಯ ಮಾಡಿ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆ ಅಂದನು. ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಗಾಯವಾಗುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಹೊಡೆದನು.
4. 38ಆಗ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯು ಹೋಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಮುಖದ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೂದಿ ಯನ್ನು ಹಚ್ಚಿಕೊಂಡು ಮುಖ ಮರೆಮಾಡಿ ಅರಸನಿ ಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದನು.
5. 39ಅರ ಸನು ಹಾದು ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ, ಇವನು ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ಕೂಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನು ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿರುವಾಗ ಇಗೋ, ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ತೊಲಗಿ ಒಬ್ಬನನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದು--ಈ ಮನುಷ್ಯನನ್ನು ಕಾಯಿ; ಇವನು ಹೇಗಾದರೂ ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಹೋದರೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವು ಅವನ ಪ್ರಾಣಕ್ಕೆ ಬದ ಲಾಗಿರುವುದು; ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ನೀನು ಒಂದು ತಲಾಂತು ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯನ್ನು ಕೊಡಬೇಕು ಅಂದನು.
