ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಕೈಯನ್ನು ಕರ್ತನ ಅಭಿಷಿಕ್ತನ ಮೇಲೆ ಹಾಕದಹಾಗೆ ಕರ್ತನು ನನಗೆ ಆಟಂಕಮಾಡಲಿ. ಆದರೆ ನೀನು ಅವನ ತಲೆದಿಂಬಿನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಈಟಿಯನ್ನೂ ನೀರಿನ ತಂಬಿಗೆಯನ್ನೂ ತೆಗೆದುಕೋ;
Naanu nanna kaiyannu kartana abhishiktana mele haakadahaage kartanu nanage aatankamaadali. Aadare neenu avana taledimbina baliyalliruva eetiyannoo neerina tambigeyannoo tegeduko;

- 10ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಇನ್ನೂ ದಾವೀದನು--ಕರ್ತನ ಜೀವ ದಾಣೆ, ಕರ್ತನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆಯುವನು; ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಅವನ ಕಾಲ ಬಂದು ಅವನು ಸಾಯುವನು; ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿ ನಾಶವಾಗುವನು.
- 11ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಕೈಯನ್ನು ಕರ್ತನ ಅಭಿಷಿಕ್ತನ ಮೇಲೆ ಹಾಕದಹಾಗೆ ಕರ್ತನು ನನಗೆ ಆಟಂಕಮಾಡಲಿ. ಆದರೆ ನೀನು ಅವನ ತಲೆದಿಂಬಿನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಈಟಿಯನ್ನೂ ನೀರಿನ ತಂಬಿಗೆಯನ್ನೂ ತೆಗೆದುಕೋ;
- 12ನಾವು ಹೋಗೋಣ ಅಂದನು. ದಾವೀದನು ಸೌಲನ ತಲೆ ದಿಂಬಿನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಈಟಿಯನ್ನೂ ನೀರಿನ ತಂಬಿಗೆ ಯನ್ನೂ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವರು ಹೊರಟು ಹೋದರು. ಒಬ್ಬರಾದರೂ ನೋಡಿದ್ದಿಲ್ಲ; ಅರಿತಿದ್ದಿಲ್ಲ; ಯಾರೂ ಎಚ್ಚತ್ತಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಕರ್ತನಿಂದ ಅಗಾಧ ನಿದ್ರೆಯು ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಇಳಿದ ಕಾರಣ ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ನಿದ್ರೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
- 13ದಾವೀದನು ದಾಟಿ ಆ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ತಮಗೂ ಅವರಿಗೂ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಹಳ ಸ್ಥಳ ಇರುವ ಹಾಗೆ ದೂರವಾಗಿರುವ ಒಂದು ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ಕೊನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತು ಜನರಿಗೂ ನೇರನ ಮಗನಾದ ಅಬ್ನೇರನಿಗೂ ಎದು ರಾಗಿ ಕೂಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--
