ಸೌಲನು ಬಾಗಲಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವ ಸಮು ವೇಲನ ಸವಿಾಪಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ದರ್ಶಿಯ ಮನೆಯು ಎಲ್ಲಿ ಇದೆ ದಯಮಾಡಿ ನೀನು ನನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸು ಅಂದನು.
Saulanu baagalalli iruva samu velana saviాpakke bandu avanige--darshiya maneyu elli ide dayamaadi neenu nanage tilisu andanu.

- 17ಸಮುವೇಲನು ಸೌಲನನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದಾಗ ಕರ್ತನು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ಇಗೋ, ನಾನು ನಿನಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ ಮನು ಷ್ಯನು ಇವನೇ; ಇವನೇ ನನ್ನ ಜನರನ್ನು ಆಳುವನು ಅಂದನು.

- 19ಸಮುವೇಲನು ಸೌಲನಿಗೆ ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತ ರವಾಗಿ--ದರ್ಶಿಯು ನಾನೇ; ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ಗುಡ್ಡದ ಮೇಲಕ್ಕೆ ಏರಿ ಹೋಗು, ಈ ಹೊತ್ತು ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ತಿನ್ನಬೇಕು; ನಾಳೆ ಹೊತ್ತಾರೆ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸುವೆನು; ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿರುವದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಿಮಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯಪಡಿಸುವೆನು ಅಂದನು.
- 20ಇಂದಿಗೆ ಮೂರನೇ ದಿವಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಣದೆ ಹೋದ ನಿನ್ನ ಕತ್ತೆಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಹೃದಯ ಇಡಬೇಡ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅವು ದೊರಕಿದವು. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅಭಿಲಾಷೆ ಯೆಲ್ಲಾ ಯಾರ ಮೇಲೆ ಇರುವದು? ನಿನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ಮನೆಯವರೆಲ್ಲರ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ಅಲ್ಲವೋ ಅಂದನು.
