2. 10ಅಹಜ್ಯನ ತಾಯಿಯಾದ ಅತಲ್ಯಳು ತನ್ನ ಮಗನು ಸತ್ತನೆಂದು ಕಂಡಾಗ ಅವಳು ಎದ್ದು ಯೆಹೂದನ ಮನೆಯ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಸಂತಾನವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಾಶಮಾಡಿದಳು.
3. 11ಆದರೆ ಅರಸನ ಮಗಳಾದ ಯೆಹೋಷಬತಳು ಅಹಜ್ಯನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೆಹೋವಾಷನನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಅರಸನ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಮಧ್ಯದಿಂದ ಅವನನ್ನು ಕದ್ದುಕೊಂಡು ಅವನನ್ನೂ ಅವನ ದಾದಿ ಯನ್ನೂ ಮಲಗುವ ಕೋಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇರಿಸಿದಳು. ಹೀಗೆ ಅತಲ್ಯಳು ಅವನನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲದ ಹಾಗೆ ಅರಸನಾದ ಯೆಹೋರಾಮನ ಕುಮಾರ್ತೆಯಾಗಿರುವ ಯಾಜ ಕನಾದ ಯೆಹೋಯಾದನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯಾಗಿರುವ ಯೆಹೋಷಬತಳು ಬಚ್ಚಿಟ್ಟಳು.ಹೀಗೆಯೇ ಇವನು ಅವರ ಸಂಗಡ ದೇವರ ಆಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಆರು ವರುಷ ಬಚ್ಚಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದನು. ಆದರೆ ಅತಲ್ಯಳು ದೇಶದ ಮೇಲೆ ಆಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದಳು.
