1. 16ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಯೋವಾಬನು ಆ ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನು ನೋಡಿಕೊಂಡಾಗ ಯಾವ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಪರಾಕ್ರಮಶಾಲಿಗಳು ಇರುವರೆಂದು ತಿಳುಕೊಂಡನೋ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಊರೀಯನನ್ನು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿದನು.
2. 17ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಜನರು ಹೊರಟು ಯೋವಾಬನ ಸಂಗಡ ಯುದ್ಧ ಮಾಡುವಾಗ ದಾವೀದನ ಸೇವಕರಾದವರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರು ಬಿದ್ದರು; ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಹಿತ್ತಿಯನಾದ ಊರೀಯನು ಸತ್ತನು.
3. 18ಆಗ ಯೋವಾಬನು ಯುದ್ಧದ ವರ್ತಮಾನ ಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೆ ದೂತನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸುವಾಗ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--
4. 19ನೀನು ಈ ಯುದ್ಧದ ವರ್ತಮಾನಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿ ತೀರಿಸಿದ ತರುವಾಯ ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ಕೋಪ ಉರಿದು--
5. 20ನೀವು ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಪಟ್ಟಣಕ್ಕೆ ಇಷ್ಟು ಸವಿಾಪವಾಗಿ ಸೇರಿದ್ದೇನು?
