2. 27ಯೋವಾಬನು ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ--ನಾನು ರಬ್ಬದ ಮೇಲೆ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡಿ ನೀರುಗಳ ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
3. 28ಈಗ ನಾನು ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು ಅದು ನನ್ನ ಹೆಸರಿನಿಂದ ಕರೆಯಲ್ಪಡದ ಹಾಗೆ ನೀನು ಜನರನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು, ಬಂದು ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನು ಮುತ್ತಿಗೆ ಹಾಕಿ ಹಿಡಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ದೂತರನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು.
4. 29ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ದಾವೀದನು ಜನ ರೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ರಬ್ಬಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಅದರ ಮೇಲೆ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡಿ ಅದನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡನು.
5. 30ಅದರ ಅರಸನ ತಲೆಯಮೇಲೆ ಇದ್ದ ಕಿರೀಟವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡನು. ಅದು ಬಂಗಾರದ್ದಾಗಿ ಒಂದು ತಲಾಂತಿನ ತೂಕವಾಗಿತ್ತು; ರತ್ನಗಳಿಂದ ಕೆತ್ತಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿತ್ತು. ಅದು ದಾವೀದನ ತಲೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಇರಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿತು. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವನು ಆ ಪಟ್ಟಣದಿಂದ ಬಹು ಅಧಿಕವಾಗಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳೆಯನ್ನು ತಂದನು.ಆದರೆ ಅದರಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಜನರನ್ನು ಅವನು ಹೊರಗೆ ತಂದು ಅವರನ್ನು ಗರಗಸ ಸಲಿಕೆ ಕೊಡ್ಲಿಯ ಕೆಲಸಕ್ಕೂ ಇಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಭಟ್ಟಿಯ ಕೆಲಸಕ್ಕೂ ಇಟ್ಟನು. ಈ ಪ್ರಕಾರವೇ ಅಮ್ಮೊನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಿಗೂ ಮಾಡಿ ದಾವೀದನೂ ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ತಿರಿಗಿ ಬಂದರು.
