ಆದರೆ ದಾವೀದನ ಸಹೋದರನಾದ ಶಿಮ್ಮನ ಮಗನಾಗಿ ರುವ ಯೋನಾದಾಬನು ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ--ಒಡೆಯನೇ, ನನ್ನ ಅರಸನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಾದ ಯೌವನಸ್ಥರೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನು ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕಿದರೆಂದು ನೆನಸಬೇಡ; ಅಮ್ನೋನನು ಮಾತ್ರವೇ ಸತ್ತನು; ಅಬ್ಷಾಲೋಮನು ತನ್ನ ಸಹೋ ದರಿಯಾದ ತಾಮಾರಳನ್ನು ಅಮ್ನೋನನು ಬಲವಂತ ಮಾಡಿದ ದಿನ ಮೊದಲುಗೊಂಡು ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ತನ್ನ ಮನಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಥಿರಮಾಡಿದ್ದನು;
Aadare daaveedana sahodaranaada shimmana maganaagi ruva yonaadaabanu daaveedanige--odeyane, nanna arasana makkalaada yauvanastharellarannu konduhaakidarendu nenasabeda; amnonanu maatrave sattanu; abshaalomanu tanna saho dariyaada taamaaralannu amnonanu balavanta maadida dina modalugondu ee kaaryavannu maaduvadakke tanna manassinalli sthiramaadiddanu;

- 33ಆದದರಿಂದ ಅರಸನಾದ ನನ್ನ ಒಡೆಯನೇ ಅರಸನ ಮಕ್ಕಳೆಲ್ಲರು ಸತ್ತರೆಂಬುವ ಮಾತನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಮನಸ್ಸಿನ ಲ್ಲಿಡಬೇಡ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅಮ್ನೋನನು ಒಬ್ಬನೇ ಸತ್ತನು ಅಂದನು.
- 34ಆದರೆ ಅಬ್ಷಾಲೋಮನು ಓಡಿ ಹೋದನು; ಆಗ ಕಾವಲುಗಾರನು ತನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳ ನ್ನೆತ್ತಿ ನೋಡುವಾಗ ಇಗೋ, ಅವನ ಹಿಂಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ಪಾರ್ಶ್ವದ ಮಾರ್ಗವಾಗಿ ಅನೇಕ ಜನರು ಬರುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.
