2. 23ಆಗ ಅರಸನು ಅವನ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಹಳ ಸಂತೋಷಪಟ್ಟು ದಾನಿಯೇಲನನ್ನು ಗವಿಯೊಳ ಗಿಂದ ಮೇಲಕ್ಕೆತ್ತಬೇಕೆಂದು ಆಜ್ಞೆ ಮಾಡಿದನು; ಹೀಗೆ ದಾನಿಯೇಲನನ್ನು ಗವಿಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ಮೇಲಕೆತ್ತಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ದೇವರಲ್ಲಿ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಟ್ಟದ್ದರಿಂದ ಯಾವ ತರಹ ಹಾನಿಯೂ ಅವನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಣಲಿಲ್ಲ.
3. 24ಆಗ ಅರಸನು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಲಾಗಿ ದಾನಿಯೇಲನ ಮೇಲೆ ತಪ್ಪುಹೊರಿಸಿದ ಮನುಷ್ಯರನ್ನು ತಂದು ಅವ ರನ್ನೂ ಅವರ ಹೆಂಡತಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನೂ ಸಿಂಹಗಳ ಗವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಕಿದರು. ಅವರು ಗವಿಯ ತಳವನ್ನು ಮುಟ್ಟುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಮೊದಲೇ ಸಿಂಹಗಳು ಹಾರಿಬಂದು ಅವರ ಎಲುಬುಗ ಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ತುಂಡು ತುಂಡಾಗಿ ಮುರಿದು ಹಾಕಿದವು.
4. 25ಆಗ ಅರಸನಾದ ದಾರ್ಯಾವೆಷನು ಭೂಲೋ ಕದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕಡೆಯಲ್ಲೂ ವಾಸವಾಗಿರುವ ಸಕಲ ಪ್ರಜೆ, ಜನಾಂಗ ಭಾಷೆಗಳವರಿಗೆ ಬರೆದದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--ನಿಮಗೆ ಸಮಾಧಾನವು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಲಿ.
5. 26ನಾನು ಮಾಡುವ ತೀರ್ಮಾನವೇನಂದರೆ, ನನ್ನ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ದಾನಿಯೇಲನ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಭಯಭಕ್ತಿ ಯಿಂದ ನಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಜೀವವುಳ್ಳ ದೇವರಾಗಿದ್ದು ಎಂದೆಂದಿಗೂ ಸ್ಥಿರವಾದವನು ಆತನೇ. ಆತನ ರಾಜ್ಯವು ನಾಶವಾಗದೆ ಆತನ ಆಳಿಕೆಯು ಶಾಶ್ವತವಾಗಿ ಕೊನೆಯವರೆಗೂ ನಿಲ್ಲುವದು.
