ನಾವು ಕಾದೇಶ್‌ಬರ್ನೆಯವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟಂದಿನಿಂದ ಜೆರೆದ್‌ ಹಳ್ಳ ವನ್ನು ದಾಟಿದ ವರೆಗೆ ಹೋದ ಕಾಲವು ಮೂವ ತ್ತೆಂಟು ವರುಷ; ಕರ್ತನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಮಾಣಮಾಡಿದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಯುದ್ಧಸ್ಥರ ಸಂತತಿ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸೈನ್ಯದೊಳಗಿಂದ ಮುಗಿದುಹೋಗುವ ವರೆಗೆ ತಡವಾಯಿತು.

Deuteronomy 2:14 in English

King James Version (KJV): And the space in which we came from Kadesh-barnea, until we were come over the brook Zered, [was] thirty and eight years; until all the generation of the men of war were wasted out from among the host, as the LORD sware unto them.
World English Bible (WEB): The days in which we came from Kadesh Barnea until we had come over the brook Zered were thirty-eight years, until all the generation of the men of war were consumed from the middle of the camp, as the LORD swore to them.

15ಅವರು ಮುಗಿದುಹೋಗುವ ವರೆಗೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸೈನ್ಯದೊಳ ಗಿಂದ ನಿರ್ಮೂಲ ಮಾಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಕರ್ತನ ಹಸ್ತವು ಅವರ ಮೇಲಿತ್ತು.
