ನಾನು ಯೊರ್ದನಿನ ಆಚೆಗೆ ಹೋಗದ ಹಾಗೆ ಯೂ ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ನಿನಗೆ ಸ್ವಾಸ್ತ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಕೊಡುವ ಆ ಒಳ್ಳೇ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸದ ಹಾಗೆ ಯೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಕರ್ತನು ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೋಪ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಪ್ರಮಾಣಮಾಡಿದನು.

- 20ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನೇ ಕರ್ತನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ನೀವು ಈ ದಿನ ಇರುವ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ತನಗೆ ಸ್ವಾಸ್ತ್ಯವಾದ ಜನವಾಗುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಕಬ್ಬಿಣದ ಕುಲುಮೆಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ಅಂದರೆ ಐಗುಪ್ತದಿಂದ ಹೊರಗೆ ಬರಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
- 21ನಾನು ಯೊರ್ದನಿನ ಆಚೆಗೆ ಹೋಗದ ಹಾಗೆ ಯೂ ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ನಿನಗೆ ಸ್ವಾಸ್ತ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಕೊಡುವ ಆ ಒಳ್ಳೇ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸದ ಹಾಗೆ ಯೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಕರ್ತನು ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೋಪ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಪ್ರಮಾಣಮಾಡಿದನು.
- 22ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ಈ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಯಲೇಬೇಕು. ನಾನು ಯೊರ್ದನಿನ ಆಚೆಗೆ ಹೋಗ ತಕ್ಕದ್ದಲ್ಲ, ಆದರೆ ನೀವು ಆಚೆಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಆ ಒಳ್ಳೇ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಧೀನ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ.
- 23ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾಡಿದ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಮರೆತು ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಬೇಡವೆಂದು ಕೆತ್ತಿದ ಯಾವ ರೂಪದ ವಿಗ್ರಹ ವನ್ನೂ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳದ ಹಾಗೆ ಜಾಗ್ರತೆಯಾಗಿರ್ರಿ.
