3. 13ಮೋಶೆಯು ತನ್ನ ಕೋಲನ್ನು ಐಗುಪ್ತದೇಶದ ಮೇಲೆ ಚಾಚಿದಾಗ ಕರ್ತನು ಹಗಲಿರುಳೂ ಮೂಡಣಗಾಳಿಯನ್ನು ಬರಮಾಡಿದನು. ಉದ ಯವಾದಾಗ ಆ ಮೂಡಣ ಗಾಳಿಯು ಮಿಡತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಅಟ್ಟಿಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದಿತು.
4. 14ಹೀಗೆ ಮಿಡತೆಗಳು ಐಗುಪ್ತ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಬಂದು ಐಗುಪ್ತದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮೇರೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಸಮೂಹವಾಗಿ ಸೇರಿಕೊಂಡವು. ಅವು ಕ್ರೂರ ವಾದವುಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದವು. ಅವುಗಳಂತೆ ಹಿಂದೆ ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ, ಅನಂತರವೂ ಇರಲಾರವು.
5. 15ಅವು ಭೂ ಮುಖವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಮುತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡದ್ದರಿಂದ ಆ ದೇಶವು ಕತ್ತಲಾಯಿತು. ಅವು ಭೂಮಿಯ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸೊಪ್ಪನ್ನೂ ಆನೆಕಲ್ಲಿನ ಮಳೆಯು ಉಳಿಸಿದ ಮರಗಳ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಫಲವನ್ನೂ ತಿಂದುಬಿಟ್ಟವು. ಮರಗಳಲ್ಲಾದರೂ ಹೊಲದ ಗಿಡಗಳಲ್ಲಾದರೂ ಹಸುರಾದದ್ದು ಐಗುಪ್ತ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಉಳಿಯಲಿಲ್ಲ.
