1. 18ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ನಾನು ಬೆಳಗಿನ ಜಾವದಲ್ಲಿ ಜನ ರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದೆನು; ಸಂಜೆ ನನ್ನ ಹೆಂಡತಿ ಸತ್ತಳು; ಆಗ ಮುಂಜಾನೆ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಯಾದ ಪ್ರಕಾರವೇ ನಾನು ಮಾಡಿದೆನು.
2. 19ಆಗ ಜನರು--ನೀನು ಮಾಡುವ ಆ ಸಂಗತಿಗಳಿಂದ ನಮಗೆ ಪ್ರಯೋಜನವೇ ನೆಂದು ತಿಳಿಸುವದಿಲ್ಲವೇ ಎಂದರು.
3. 20ಆಮೇಲೆ ನಾನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಉತ್ತರಿಸಿದೆನು; ಕರ್ತನ ವಾಕ್ಯವು ನನಗೆ ಬಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--
4. 21ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರ ಮನೆ ತನದವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆಂದು ಹೇಳು--ಇಗೋ, ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ಸ್ಥಳವನ್ನೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಲದ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠತ್ವವನ್ನೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ನೇತ್ರಾನಂದಕರವಾದದ್ದನ್ನೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮನಸ್ಸು ಅಭಿಲಾಷಿಸುವದನ್ನೂ ನಾನು ಅಪವಿತ್ರಪಡಿಸುವೆನು; ನೀವು ಬಿಟ್ಟಿರುವ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕುಮಾರರೂ ಕುಮಾರ್ತೆಯರೂ ಕತ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಬೀಳುವರು.
5. 22ನಾನು ಮಾಡಿದ ಹಾಗೆ ನೀವು ಮಾಡುವಿರಿ; ನಿಮ್ಮ ತುಟಿಗಳನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳ ಬಾರದು ಅವರ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನೂ ತಿನ್ನಬಾರದು.
