ಅವು ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೆಳಕುಕೊಡುವಂತೆ ಆಕಾಶದ ವಿಶಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳಕುಗಳಾಗಿರಲಿ ಅಂದನು. ಅದು ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಆಯಿತು.

Avu bhoomiya mele belakukoduvante aakaashada vishaaladalli belakugalaagirali andanu. Adu haageye aayitu.

13ಹೀಗೆ ಸಾಯಂಕಾಲವೂ ಪ್ರಾತಃಕಾಲವೂ ಆಗಿ ಮೂರನೆಯ ದಿನವಾಯಿತು.
14ದೇವರು--ಹಗಲನ್ನು ರಾತ್ರಿಯಿಂದ ಬೇರೆ ಮಾಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಆಕಾಶದ ವಿಶಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳಕುಗಳಿರಲಿ; ಅವು ಹಗಲಿರುಳುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಸಮಯ ದಿನ ಸಂವತ್ಸರ ಗಳನ್ನೂ ತೋರಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಗುರುತುಗಳಾಗಿರಲಿ;
15ಅವು ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೆಳಕುಕೊಡುವಂತೆ ಆಕಾಶದ ವಿಶಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳಕುಗಳಾಗಿರಲಿ ಅಂದನು. ಅದು ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಆಯಿತು.
16ದೇವರು ಎರಡು ದೊಡ್ಡ ಬೆಳಕುಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದನು; ದೊಡ್ಡ ಬೆಳಕು ಹಗಲನ್ನಾಳುವದಕ್ಕೂ ಚಿಕ್ಕ ಬೆಳಕು ರಾತ್ರಿಯನ್ನಾಳು ವದಕ್ಕೂ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಲ್ಲದೆ ನಕ್ಷತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಸಹ ಮಾಡಿ ದನು.
17ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೆಳಕುಕೊಡುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ದೇವರು ಆಕಾಶದ ವಿಶಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಇರಿಸಿದನು.
