ಆದಾ ಮನು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪಶುಗಳಿಗೂ ಆಕಾಶದ ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳಿಗೂ ಅಡವಿಯ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮೃಗಗಳಿಗೂ ಹೆಸರಿಟ್ಟನು, ಆದರೆ ಆದಾಮನಿಗೆ ತಕ್ಕ ಸಹಕಾರಿ ಸಿಗಲಿಲ್ಲ.
Aadaa manu ellaa pashugaligoo aakaashada pakshigaligoo adaviya ellaa mrugagaligoo hesarittanu, aadare aadaamanige takka sahakaari sigalilla.

- 20ಆದಾ ಮನು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪಶುಗಳಿಗೂ ಆಕಾಶದ ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳಿಗೂ ಅಡವಿಯ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮೃಗಗಳಿಗೂ ಹೆಸರಿಟ್ಟನು, ಆದರೆ ಆದಾಮನಿಗೆ ತಕ್ಕ ಸಹಕಾರಿ ಸಿಗಲಿಲ್ಲ.
- 21ಕರ್ತನಾದ ದೇವರು ಆದಾಮನಿಗೆ ಗಾಢನಿದ್ರೆ ಬರಮಾಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವನು ನಿದ್ರೆಮಾಡಿದನು; ಆಗ ಆತನು ಅವನ ಪಕ್ಕೆಯ ಎಲುಬುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಮಾಂಸವನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚಿದನು.
- 22ಕರ್ತನಾದ ದೇವರು ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಂದ ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡ ಪಕ್ಕೆಯ ಎಲು ಬನ್ನು ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯಾಗಮಾಡಿ ಅವಳನ್ನು ಅವನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ತಂದನು.
