ಆಗ ಅವರು--ನಾವು ಹುಡುಗಿಯನ್ನು ಕರೆದು ವಿಚಾರಿಸೋಣ ಅಂದರು.

55ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಆಕೆಯ ಸಹೋ ದರನೂ ತಾಯಿಯೂ--ಹುಡುಗಿಯು ಕೆಲವು ದಿನ, ಅಂದರೆ ಹತ್ತು ದಿನಗಳಾದರೂ ನಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇರಲಿ; ತರುವಾಯ ಹೋಗಲಿ ಅಂದರು.
56ಆಗ ಅವನು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ನನ್ನನ್ನು ತಡೆಯಬೇಡಿರಿ; ಕರ್ತನು ನನ್ನ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಸಫಲಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನಲ್ಲಾ. ನನ್ನ ಯಜಮಾನನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುವ ಹಾಗೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿರಿ ಅಂದನು.
57ಆಗ ಅವರು--ನಾವು ಹುಡುಗಿಯನ್ನು ಕರೆದು ವಿಚಾರಿಸೋಣ ಅಂದರು.
58ಅವರು ರೆಬೆಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಕರೆದು ಆಕೆಗೆ--ಈ ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಸಂಗಡ ಹೋಗುವಿಯೋ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದರು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಆಕೆಯು--ನಾನು ಹೋಗುತ್ತೇನೆ ಅಂದಳು.
59ಆಗ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಸಹೋದರಿಯಾದ ರೆಬೆಕ್ಕಳನ್ನೂ ಅವಳ ದಾದಿಯನ್ನೂ ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನ ಸೇವಕನನ್ನೂ ಅವನ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಮನುಷ್ಯರನ್ನೂ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದರು.
