ಅವನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನ ಸೇವಕರು ಅಗಿದ ಬಾವಿಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರು ಮಣ್ಣಿನಿಂದ ಮುಚ್ಚಿದರು.

- 17ಆಗ ಇಸಾಕನು ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಹೋಗಿ ಗೆರಾರಿನ ತಗ್ಗಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಗುಡಾರ ಹಾಕಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಮಾಡಿದನು.
