ಯಾಕೋಬನು ತನ್ನ ತಾಯಿಯ ಸಹೋದರನಾದ ಲಾಬಾನನ ಮಗಳಾದ ರಾಹೇಲಳನ್ನೂ ಅವನ ಕುರಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ನೋಡಿದಾಗ ಯಾಕೋಬನು ಹತ್ತಿರ ಬಂದು ಬಾವಿಯ ಮೇಲಿದ್ದ ಕಲ್ಲನ್ನು ಹೊರಳಿಸಿ ತನ್ನ ತಾಯಿಯ ಸಹೋದರನಾದ ಲಾಬಾನನ ಕುರಿಗಳಿಗೆ ನೀರನ್ನು ಕುಡಿಸಿದನು.
Yaakobanu tanna taayiya sahodaranaada laabaanana magalaada raahelalannoo avana kurigalannoo nodidaaga yaakobanu hattira bandu baaviya melidda kallannu horalisi tanna taayiya sahodaranaada laabaanana kurigalige neerannu kudisidanu.

- 11ಆಗ ಯಾಕೋ ಬನು ರಾಹೇಲಳಿಗೆ ಮುದ್ದಿಟ್ಟು ತನ್ನ ಸ್ವರವನ್ನೆತ್ತಿ ಗಟ್ಟಿಯಾಗಿ ಅತ್ತನು.
- 12ಯಾಕೋಬನು ರಾಹೇಲಳಿಗೆ ತಾನು ಆಕೆಯ ತಂದೆಗೆ ಸೋದರಳಿಯನೆಂದೂ ರೆಬೆಕ್ಕಳ ಮಗನೆಂದೂ ತಿಳಿಸಿದನು. ಆಗ ಆಕೆಯು ಓಡಿಹೋಗಿ ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದಳು.
