ಹೀಗೆ ಆ ಕಾಣಿಕೆಯು ಅವನ ಮುಂದಾಗಿ ಹೊರಟುಹೋಯಿತು. ತಾನಾದರೋ ಆ ರಾತ್ರಿ ಗುಂಪಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಇಳುಕೊಂಡನು.
Heege aa kaanikeyu avana mundaagi horatuhoyitu. Taanaadaro aa raatri gumpinalli ilukondanu.

- 19ಎರಡನೆಯ ವನಿಗೂ ಮೂರನೆಯವನಿಗೂ ಮಂದೆಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ಹೋಗುವವರೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೂನೀವು ಏಸಾವನನ್ನು ಕಂಡರೆ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಹೇಳಬೇಕು.
- 20ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ--ನಿನ್ನ ದಾಸನಾದ ಯಾಕೋಬನು ನಮ್ಮ ಹಿಂದೆ ಬರುತ್ತಾನೆಂದು ಹೇಳಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದನು. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ನನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ಹೋಗುವ ಕಾಣಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ಅವನನ್ನು ಸಮಾಧಾನಪಡಿಸುವೆನು. ತರುವಾಯ ಅವನ ಮುಖವನ್ನು ನೋಡುವೆನು; ಅವನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಅಂಗೀಕರಿಸುವನೇನೋ ಎಂದು ಅಂದು ಕೊಂಡನು.
- 21ಹೀಗೆ ಆ ಕಾಣಿಕೆಯು ಅವನ ಮುಂದಾಗಿ ಹೊರಟುಹೋಯಿತು. ತಾನಾದರೋ ಆ ರಾತ್ರಿ ಗುಂಪಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಇಳುಕೊಂಡನು.
- 22ಅವನು ಆ ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಎದ್ದು ತನ್ನ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಹೆಂಡತಿಯರನ್ನೂ ಇಬ್ಬರು ದಾಸಿಯರನ್ನೂ ತನ್ನ ಹನ್ನೊಂದು ಮಂದಿ ಕುಮಾರರನ್ನೂ ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಯಬ್ಬೋಕ್‌ ಎಂಬ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ದಾಟಿದನು.
- 23ಅವನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಕರಕೊಂಡು ಹೊಳೆ ದಾಟಿಸಿದ್ದಲ್ಲದೆ ತನಗಿದ್ದದ್ದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ದಾಟಿಸಿದನು.
