ತರುವಾಯ ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಜನರು ಹೆಚ್ಚುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಆರಂಭಿಸಿದಾಗ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಕುಮಾರ್ತೆಯರು ಹುಟ್ಟಿದರು.

2ಆಗ ದೇವಕುಮಾರರು ಮನುಷ್ಯ ಕುಮಾರ್ತೆಯರ ಸೌಂದರ್ಯವನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ತಾವು ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡವರನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ತಮಗೆ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯ ರನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು.
3ಆಗ ಕರ್ತನು--ನನ್ನ ಆತ್ಮನು ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಸಂಗಡ ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ವಿವಾದಮಾಡುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ಅವನು ಮನುಷ್ಯನಷ್ಟೆ. ಆದರೂ ಅವನ ದಿನಗಳು ಇನ್ನು ನೂರ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತು ವರುಷಗಳಾಗಿರುವವು ಅಂದನು.
