ಒಂದು ಕಾಗೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊರಗೆ ಬಿಟ್ಟನು; ಅದು ಹೊರಟು ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲಿದ್ದ ಜಲವು ಆರಿಹೋಗುವ ವರೆಗೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಾ ಬರುತ್ತಾ ಇತ್ತು.

5ಹತ್ತನೆಯ ತಿಂಗಳಿನ ವರೆಗೆ ನೀರು ಕ್ರಮವಾಗಿ ಕಡಿಮೆಯಾಗುತ್ತಾ ಬಂತು. ಹತ್ತನೆಯ ತಿಂಗಳಿನ ಮೊದಲನೆಯ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಟ್ಟಗಳ ತುದಿಗಳು ಕಾಣ ಬಂದವು.
6ನಾಲ್ವತ್ತು ದಿವಸಗಳಾದ ತರುವಾಯ ಆದದ್ದೇ ನಂದರೆ, ನೋಹನು ತಾನು ಮಾಡಿದ ನಾವೆಯ ಕಿಟಕಿಯನ್ನು ತೆರೆದು
7ಒಂದು ಕಾಗೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊರಗೆ ಬಿಟ್ಟನು; ಅದು ಹೊರಟು ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲಿದ್ದ ಜಲವು ಆರಿಹೋಗುವ ವರೆಗೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಾ ಬರುತ್ತಾ ಇತ್ತು.
8ಭೂಮುಖದ ಮೇಲೆ ನೀರು ಕಡಿಮೆ ಆಯಿತೋ ಇಲ್ಲವೋ ಎಂದು ನೋಡುವಂತೆ ಒಂದು ಪಾರಿವಾಳವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟನು.
9ಆದರೆ ನೀರು ಭೂಮುಖದಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಇದ್ದದ್ದರಿಂದ ಪಾರಿವಾಳದ ಅಂಗಾಲಿಗೆ ವಿಶ್ರಮಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಸ್ಥಳವು ಸಿಕ್ಕದೆ ಅದು ತಿರಿಗಿ ಅವನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ನಾವೆಗೆ ಬಂತು. ಅವನು ಕೈಚಾಚಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು ನಾವೆಯೊಳಗೆ ಸೇರಿಸಿ ಕೊಂಡನು.
